Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: CAM Ligands, Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Cancers, Infectious Diseases, Cell Communication
Description:
Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) is a potent mitogen for mature parenchymal hepatocyte cells, is potent hepatotrophic factor, and acts as growth factor for a broad spectrum of tissues and cell types. HGF is the ligand for the receptor tyrosine kinase MET. Defects in HGF are the cause of deafness autosomal recessive type 39 (DFNB39), a form of profound prelingual sensorineural hearing loss. Sensorineural deafness results from damage to the neural receptors of the inner ear, the nerve pathways to the brain, or the area of the brain that receives sound information. HGF is a 80-kDa dimer made of the 51-kDa alpha chain and 26-kDa beta chain linked by a disulphide bridge.
Alternate Names: HGF, Hepatocyte growth factor, Scatter factor, SF, Hepatopoeitin-A, HPTA
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P14210
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human HGF.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 5 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
