Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Cell Adhesion Molecules, CAM Ligands, Cellular Antigens, Receptors and Channels
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Immune System, Metabolic Disorders
Description:
HLA class I histocompatibility antigen, alpha chain E (HLA-E) HLA-E belongs to the HLA class I heavy chain paralogues. HLA-E is a class I molecule heterodimer consisting of a heavy chain and a light chain (beta-2 microglobulin). The heavy chain is anchored in the membrane. HLA-E binds a restricted subset of peptides derived from the leader peptides of other class I molecules. It is one of a family of molecules known as MHC class Ib and has a very specialized role in cell recognition by NK cells (Natural Killer). HLA-E is very highly conserved and presents a small repertoire of peptides of various origins.
Alternate Names: HLA-E, HLA class I histocompatibility antigen, alpha chain E, MHC class I antigen E, HLA-6.2, HLAE
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P13747
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human HLA-E.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 25% glycerol, 1 mg/ml BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
