Size: 0.1 ml
Isotype: Mouse IgG2b
Applications: WB
Protein Family: Enzymes
Pathway and Disease: Nucleotide Metabolism
Description:
HPRT1 (Hypoxanthine phosphoribosyltransferase 1) enzyme recycles purines in cells. HPRT1 also plays a crucial role in uric acid synthesis and purine metabolism. This enzyme catalyzes the conversion of hypoxanthine and guanine to inosine monophosphate (IMP) and guanosine monophosphate (GMP) and uses phosphoribosylpyrophosphate (PRPP) as a cosubstrate and as a source of energy. This pathway is also known as the purine salvage pathway because it allows cells to reuse purine compounds to build DNA and RNA.
Alternate Names: Hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase, HGPRT, HGPRTase, HPRT1
Application Notes: WB: 1:500-1:2000
Accession No.: P00492
Antigen: Purified recombinant fragment of HPRT expressed in E. coli.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 ml ascitic fluid with 0.03% sodium azide.
Storage:
Store at 4°C for short term use only. Store at -20°C for storage over 1 month. Product is guaranteed 6 months from the date of shipment.
