Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Mouse IgG1
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Chaperones and Folding Catalysts
Pathway and Disease: Folding, Sorting and Degradation, Metabolic Disorders
Description:
Heat shock protein 60 (HSP-60) is involved in mitochondrial protein import and macromolecular assembly. HSP-60 facilitates the correct folding of imported proteins. HSP-60 also prevents misfolding and promotes the refolding and proper assembly of unfolded polypeptides generated under stress conditions in the mitochondrial matrix. Defects in HSPD1 are a cause of spastic paraplegia autosomal dominant type 13 (SPG13). Spastic paraplegia is a degenerative spinal cord disorder characterized by a slow, gradual, progressive weakness and spasticity of the lower limbs.
Alternate Names: 60 kDa heat shock protein, mitochondrial, Heat shock protein 60, HSP-60, Hsp60, 60 kDa chaperonin, Chaperonin 60, CPN60, Mitochondrial matrix protein P1, P60 lymphocyte protein, HuCHA60, HSPD1, HSP60
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P10809
Antigen: Recombinant human HSP-60.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 2% BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
