The IGH Break Apart FISH Probe localizes to the IGH gene allowing confirmation of rearrangements of the gene.

For multiple myeloma, many of the commonly detected genetic aberrations are translocations involving immunoglobulin heavy chain (IgH) switch regions (chromosome 14q32.3). This probe set consists of a 3’ orange probe designed to hybridize to the upstream segment of IgHG1 constant region, and a 5’ green probe which encompasses part of the variable region. Rearrangements resulting from cytogenetic events should be detected by translocation of the green probe.

Empire Genomics has developed a IGH Break Apart FISH Probe which can be used to detect a rearrangement of the IGH gene. The probe comes labeled in orange and green, and you may also choose to customize the probe to meet your needs.

Loci: 14q32.3
