Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Cytokines
Pathway and Disease: Cell Growth and Death, Immune System, Metabolic Disorders, Neurodegenerative Disorders, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
Interleukin-1 (IL-1) is a cytokine produced by activated macrophages. IL-1 stimulates thymocyte proliferation by inducing IL-2 release, B-cell maturation and proliferation, and fibroblast growth factor activity. IL-1 is involved in the inflammatory response as endogenous pyrogens, and are reported to stimulate the release of prostaglandin and collagenase from synovial cells.
Alternate Names: Interleukin-1 beta, IL-1 beta, Catabolin, IL1B, IL1F2
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: P01584
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of mouse IL-1 beta.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A affinity chromatography.
