Protein Family: Cytokines

Pathway and Disease: Immune System, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction

Alternate Names: interleukin-25, IL-25, 17E, IL-17E, IL25Description:
Rat IL-17E (IL-17), is a proinflammatory cytokine member of a six-species family of proteins (IL-17A-17F). Rat IL-17E protein is a homodimer consisting of two 145 amino acids peptides. Recombinant rat IL-17E produced in E. coli is a non-glycosylated disulfide-joined homodimer with a MW of 35.5 kDa.

Source: E. coli. Endotoxin level as measured by LAL is <0.01ng/ug or <0.1EU/ug.

Applications: E, WB

Application Notes:
Rat IL-17E activity is measured by the dose-dependent induction of mG-CSF production in cultured NIH 3T3 cells. The dose range for this activity is 10-100ng/ml.

Accession No.: D3ZLB1

MW: 35500 Da

Purity:
Purity > 97% as determined by reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.

Format:
Each vial contains 10 ug lyophilized protein. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml sterile 20 mM HCl for a final concentration of 0.1 mg/ml.

Storage: Store at -20°C. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C. We recommend to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
