Protein Family: Cytokines

Pathway and Disease: Immune System, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction

Alternate Names: interleukin-20, IL-20, four alpha helix cytokin Zcyto10, IL20Description:
The newly discovered cytokine interleukin-20 (IL-20) is structurally related to IL-10, yet it appears to be an autocrine factor for keratinocytes that regulates their participation in inflammation. Recombinant Human IL-20 produced in E. coli is a homodimeric non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 2 x 153 amino acids with a MW of 35,212 Da.

Source: E. coli. Endotoxin level as measured by LAL is <0.01ng/ug or <0.1EU/ug.

Applications: E, WB

Application Notes:
Human IL-20 is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The Biological Activity was determined by the ability to activate STAT following receptor ligand interaction.

Accession No.: Q9NYY1

MW: 35212 Da

Purity:
Purity > 98% as determined by RP-HPLC and reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and analysis by RP-HPLC calibrated against a known standard. Quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.

Format:
Each vial contains 10 ug protein lyophilized in 100 mM NaCl, 10 mM sodium citrate pH3.0. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml sterile deionized water for a final concentration of 0.1 mg/ml.

Storage: Store at -20°C. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C. We recommend to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
