Protein Family: Cytokines

Pathway and Disease: Immune System, Signal Transduction, Signaling Molecules and Interaction

Alternate Names: Interleukin-22, IL-22, IL-10-related T-cell-derived inducible factor, IL-TIF, IL22Description:
Interleukin-22 (IL-22 or IL-TIF) was first identified by its ability to induce IL-9 production in mast cells and T-cells. IL-22 is expressed in CD23 activated T-cells and many organs upon LPS stimulation. IL-22 signals via the IL-22R and IL-10R-beta receptors. Recombinant human IL-22 is produced in E. coli as a non-disulfide-linked homodimeric non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 2 x 146 amino acids with a MW of 33,607 Da.

Source: E. coli. Endotoxin level as measured by LAL is <0.01ng/ug or <0.1EU/ug.

Applications: E, WB

Application Notes:
Recombinant HumanIL-22 is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50, as determined by dose-dependent induction of IL-10 in Colo205 cells, is 125ng/ml.

Accession No.: Q9GZX6

Purity:
Purity > 97% as determined by RP-HPLC and reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE. Protein Content determined by UV spectroscopy at 280 nm and analysis by RP-HPLC calibrated against a known standard. Quantitation on SDS-PAGE against a known standard.

Format:
Each vial contains 10 ug protein lyophilized in 10 mM sodium citrate pH3.0. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml sterile deionized water for a final concentration of 0.1 mg/ml.

Storage: Store at -20°C. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment. Following reconstitution, store at -20°C. We recommend to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) for long term storage.
