Alternate Names: IL-35, IL-27 EB13 subunit beta, IL-27 subunit beta, IL27B, Epstein-Barr virus-induced gene 3 protein, EBV-induced gene 3 proteinDescription:
Interleukin-35 (IL-35) is a member of the IL-12 cytokine family and exists as a dimeric protein composed of IL-12 p35 and IL-27EIB chains. The heterodimer has been reported to be an anti-inflammatory cytokine suppressing the immune response through the expansion of regulatory T cells and suppression of Th17 cell development. Recombinant IL-35 comprises a 209 amino acid fragment (21-229) corresponding to the IL-35EIB subunit and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag.
