Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Rabbit Ig
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Transporters, Receptors and Channels
Pathway and Disease: Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
Importin subunit beta-1 (importin beta-1) functions in nuclear protein import, either in association with an adapter protein, such as an importin-alpha subunit, which binds to nuclear localization signals (NLS) in cargo substrates, or by acting as autonomous nuclear transport receptor. Acting autonomously, importin beta-1 functions as a NLS receptor. Docking of the importin/substrate complex to the nuclear pore complex (NPC) is mediated by importin beta-1 through binding to nucleoporin FxFG repeats and the complex is subsequently translocated through the pore by an energy requiring, Ran-dependent mechanism.
Alternate Names: Importin subunit beta-1, Karyopherin subunit beta-1, Nuclear factor p97, Pore targeting complex 97 kDa subunit, PTAC97, Importin-90
Application Notes: E: 1:10,000-1:50,000; WB: 1:100-1:500
Accession No.: Q14974
Antigen: KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the C-term region of human importin beta-1.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
