Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Mouse IgG2a
Applications: E, WB, IF, IHC
Protein Family: Enzymes, Transporters
Pathway and Disease: Infectious Diseases, Membrane transport, Cell growth and Death
Description:
Influenza viruses are common and highly infectious human pathogens. They are constantly mutating to modify their antigenicity and avoid elimination by immunity to previous generations of virus. The nucleoprotein of influenza A virus is a basic, phosphorylated multimeric protein consisting of 498 aa subunits that encapsidate the viral RNA genome to form a ribonucleoprotein particle. This antibody is specific for influenza A virus nucleoprotein and does not cross-react with influenza B virus.
Alternate Names: Influenza A Virus Nucleoprotein, Nucleocapsid protein, Protein N
Application Notes: Product Cat. No. 250370 and Product Cat. No. 250371 are used as capture antibodies in sandwich ELISA for influenza A virus. The same antibodies are used for detection when biotinylated. Product Cat. No. 250370 reacts with influenza A-infected acetone-fixed VERO cells in immunofluorescence cytochemistry. E: 1:5,000; IF: 1:1,500; IHC: 1:1,500
Accession No.: O92784
Antigen: Unpurified influenza A virus (H1N1 A/PR/8/34) for primary intranasal immunization, boosted intravenously with purified influenza A virus disrupted with Triton X-100 for 45 min at 37°C.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A/G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
