Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Mouse IgG1
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Hormones
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Carbohydrate Metabolism, Cell Motility, Endocrine System, Folding, Sorting and Degradation, Lipid Metabolism, Metabolic Disorders, Neurodegenerative Disorders, Signal Transduction
Description:
Insulin, secreted from the pancreas, is a hormone which triggers a decrease in blood glucose concentration. Insulin has a structure of a B chain and an A chain linked by two disulfide bonds. Insulin increases cell permeability to monosaccharides, amino acids and fatty acids, and accelerates glycolysis, the pentose phosphate cycle, and glycogen synthesis in liver. Defects in insulin are the cause of multiple forms of diabetes.
Alternate Names: Insulin, Insulin B chain, Insulin A chain, INS
Application Notes: E: 1:500-1:1,000; WB: 1:100-1:500; IHC: 1:1,000-1:2,500
Accession No.: P01308
Antigen: Human insulin
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4, 2% BSA with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
Store at -20°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Product is guaranteed one year from the date of shipment.
