Keratin 19 (rat) (clone E6), anti-rat, rabbit, Xenopus laevis

A BALB/c mouse was immunized with an intermediate filament preparation of rat colon mucosa.

Specifications:
E6 reacts with rat, rabbit and frog keratin 19 (40 kDa). Keratin 19 is an epithelial cell marker and can also be found in certain malignancies like rat hepatoma 27 in case of E6. Furthermore, in rat, colon and bladder are positive, while liver, salivary gland, esophagus, skeletal muscle and fibroblasts are negative for E6.

Species reactivity:
Positive: rat, rabbit,Xenopus laevis. Negative: human, mouse.

Applications:
E6 has been used in immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence tests and Western blots.
