KOR-1 (Kappa-type opioid receptor) inhibits neurotransmitter release by reducing calcium ion currents and increasing potassium ion conductance. KOR-1 is a receptor for dynorphins, playing a role in arousal and regulation of autonomic and neuroendocrine functions.
