Background:
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of thekeratin gene family. It is one of the type I hair keratin geneswhich are clustered in a region of chromosome 17q12-q21 and havethe same direction of transcription. As a type I hair keratin, itis an acidic protein which heterodimerizes with type II keratins toform hair and nails. There are two isoforms of this protein, encoded by two separate genes, KRTHA3A and KRTHA3B. [provided byRefSeq].
Other Names:
Keratin, type I cuticular Ha3-II, Hair keratin, type I Ha3-II, Keratin-33B, K33B, KRT33B, HHA3-II, HKA3B, KRTHA3B
Gene Name: KRT33B
Gene ID: 3884
Primary Accession: Q14525
Format: Peptides are lyophilized in a solid powder format. Peptides can be reconstituted in solution using the appropriate buffer as needed.
