The Q30 screening kit is a novel multiplex system for simultaneous detection of 30 fusion genes in leukemia patients.
- Multiplexing: simultaneous detection of 30 fusion genes
- Compatible with current real-time qPCR instruments
- Rapid results in 2-3 hours
- Cost effective: a fraction of the cost of FISH
- Easy to perform for routine screening
The ability to detect cancer specific fusion genes is important not only in cancer research, but also increasingly in clinical settings to ensure that correct diagnosis is made and the optimal treatment is chosen. Current methodologies to detect such fusion genes all have distinct shortcomings. The detection of fusion genes in cancer is laborious and time consuming and usually includes chromosome banding analysis (karyotyping), followed by fluorescence-in situ hybrisization (FISH) studies and molecular analyses based on the reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).
The kit is a novel multiplex reverse transcription real-time PCR (RT-qPCR) system for simultaneous detection of 30 fusion genes. Fusion and control gene transcripts are co-amplified in each reaction and identified by specific fluorescent probes. The system provides a sensitive, specific, reliable and cost-effective tool that is easy to perform for the routine screening for leukemia fusion transcripts.
Fusion genes:
MLL-AF9,MLL-AF4,MLL-MLLT1,MLL-MLLT10,PML-RARA,TEL-AML1,BCR-ABL1,CBFB-MYH11,AML1-ETO,E2A-PBX1,STIL-TAL1,AML1-EVI1,FIP1L1-PDGFRA,MLL-SEPT6,MLL-AF17,MLL-AF1P,DEK-NUP214,MLL-ELL,MLL-MLLT11,MLL-MLLT4,SET-NUP214,TLS-ERG,NPM1-RARA,TEL-ABL1, E2A-HLF,TEL-PDGFRB,ZBTB16-RARA,AML1-EAP,NPM1-MLF1,AML1-CBFA2T3
Sample types: Bone marrow, peripheral blood, FFPE, and cell lines
Reaction Volume: 25 ul
Reaction time: 2-3 hour
