Maleate Buffer 0.2M, pH 7.0

The maleate ion is the ionized form of maleic acid. This buffer is useful in biochemistry as an inhibitor of transaminase reactions. It is used by dissolving Maleic acid in distilled water. The pH is adjusted with 0.1M Na0H.
