The MYC FISH Probe detects rearrangements of the gene.
Mutations in MYC have been associated with cervical, colon, breast, lung and stomach carcinomas. A common translocation involving MYC is t(8;14), which is critical to the development of most cases of Burkitt Lymphoma.
Empire Genomics has developed a MYC FISH Probe which can be used to detect MYC gene aneusomy and rearrangements. The probe comes labeled in orange, and you may also choose to customize the probe to meet your needs.
