Neomycin Solution (NS) is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that is active against Gram-negative and many Gram-positive bacteria as well as some protozoa. NS inhibits translation by binding to the small subunit of prokaryotic ribosomes and is a calcium channel protein inhibitor.
