PCR Enhancers (1)
In an effort to overcome PCR inhibition, boost PCR amplification, and simplify the PCR protocol, we have developed PCR enhancer cocktails (PECs). These cocktails, in combination with inhibitor-resistant Taq mutant enzymes, enable efficient amplification of exogenous, endogenous, and high GC-rich DNA targets directly from crude samples, including human plasma, serum, whole blood, some food samples, and plant tissue, without the need for DNA purification.
In the presence of these enhancer cocktails, the Taq mutant enzyme can tolerate up to 40% whole blood, plasma, and serum, as well as templates with up to 80% GC content in PCR. Furthermore, these enhancer cocktails improve the performance of the novel Taq mutants in real-time PCR amplification using crude samples, in both SYBR Green fluorescence detection and TaqMan assays.
Our PEC Combo contains a combination of five PECs to allow you to test which one works best for your application.
PCR enhancing cocktails (PECs) have been developed to overcome PCR inhibition, enhance PCR amplification, and simplify the PCR protocol. In combination with inhibition-resistant Taq mutants, these cocktails enable efficient amplification of exogenous, endogenous, and high GC-content DNA targets directly from crude samples containing human plasma, serum, and whole blood without the need for DNA purification.
When used in combination with these enhancer cocktails, the mutant Taq enzymes can tolerate up to 40% plasma, serum, or whole blood, and as high as 80% GC content templates in PCR. The enhancer cocktails also improved the performance of the novel Taq mutants in real-time PCR amplification using crude samples, both in SYBR Green fluorescence detection and TaqMan assays.
Furthermore, these enhancer mixes facilitate DNA amplification from crude samples with most commercial Taq DNA polymerases.
PEC Combo contains a combination of six PECs to allow you test to see which one works best for your application.
