Size: 0.2 mg
Isotype: Mouse IgG1/k
Applications: E
Protein Family: CAM Ligands, Cellular antigens, Receptors and Channels
Pathway and Disease: Cancers, Signaling Molecules and Interaction, Cell Communication,
Description:
Collagen type I is present in soft connective tissue and bone where it represents approximately 90% of the organic matrix. Collagen type I is produced from procollagen when two teloterminal propeptides are digested from the precursor and released into the circulation. The propeptide levels can be measured in serum as indicators of collagen production. Elevated values of these propeptides in serum are found in patients with various bone metabolism defects. Procollagen type I C-terminal propeptide (PICP) has a molecular weight of approximately 100 kDa and the normal range in serum is 100-300 µg/ml. This antibody is specific for for native PICP from amniotic fluid. Crossreactivity to other species is not determined.
Alternate Names: Procollagen type I C-terminal propeptide, collagen alpha-1(I) chain, alpha-1 type I collagen, COL1A1
Application Notes: E: 1:10,000
Accession No.: P02452
Antigen: PICP purified from second trimester amniotic fluid by affinity chromatography
Format: Each vial contains 0.2 mg IgG in 0.2 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A/G affinity chromatography.
