Rabbit anti-mouse IgG-Separopore® is used as an immunoadsorbent. It can also be used to remove species specific cross-reacting antibodies or remove contaminating antibodies from an antiserum. Using this matrix, any cross-reacting antibodies may be removed from an antiserum by mixing equal volume of IgG Separopore® (resin volume) in a batch process or the matrix packed in a column. IgG Separopore® beads are used for immunoprecipitation assays or pre-clearing an extract for reducing background reactivity.
IgGs conjugated to Separopore® (agarose) beads are used in immunoprecipitation assays to pre-clear whole cell extracts. For this, beads are incubated with extracts for one hour rotating at 4â°C, followed by centrifugation.
Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is a glycoprotein antibody that regulates immune responses, such as phagocytosis, and is also involved in the development of autoimmune diseases. IgGs have many distinct isotypes, such as IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b, and IgG3 with diverse functions.
