The REL Gene Set localizes to the REL gene allowing confirmation of rearrangements of the gene.
The REL gene encodes c-Rel, a transcription factor that is a member of the Rel/NFKB family. c-Rel has an important role in B-cell survival and proliferation. The REL gene is amplified or mutated in several B-cell lymphomas, including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and Hodgkin lymphoma.
Empire Genomics has developed a REL FISH Probe Set that can be used to detect REL gene rearrangements. The probe comes labeled in orange, and you may also choose to customize the probe to meet your needs.
