Scorpion™ Avidin: Biotin HRP Kit (Peroxidase, Human IgG)

The Avidin: Biotin complex takes advantage of two important properties of avidin protein: 1) Very high affinity forBiotin (over one million times higher than antibody for most antigens), and 2) Multiple fourBiotin-binding sites. This allows a variety of macromolecular complexes to be formed by mixing Avidin (Solution A) with aBiotinylated enzyme (Solution B) prior to use. The Avidin: Biotin complex, once formed, remains stable and can be used for several days after formulation. Avidin: Biotin complex reagents can be used to detect any molecule that isBiotinylated providing great versatility for targets that can be detected as well as the types of applications.Biotinylated primary antibodies, secondaries, lectins, nucleic acids, and ligands can be effectively visualized in a variety of applications:
Histological staining
Multiple labeling (Multiplex IHC)

In all applications, a high sensitivity, low background and reproducibility is achieved by using thisKit. Peroxidase reaction produces a sharp, dense precipitate with crisp non-diffused localization. These characteristics make the peroxidase enzyme a preferred choice in many applications including neural tissue for labeling of both cell bodies and processes.
