Sodium Cacodylate Buffer 0.1M, pH 7.0

The buffer is prepared with Sodium cacodylate dissolved in distilled water. The pH of the solution is adjusted with HCl. The buffer is easy to prepare, stable during storage for long periods of time and does not support growth of microorganisms. However the buffer is toxic since it contains arsenic and gives an unpleasant smell.
