Sodium Cacodylate Buffer 0.2M, pH 7.4

Often used with fixatives when preparing specimens for electron microscopy. This product can be used to avoid microprecipitation that may occur on thin sections during pre- and post-fixation.

For animal tissues, a 0.1 M is often used. For plant tissues, a 0.01 M buffer is often used. This solution may be diluted with distilled water.
