Size: 0.1 mg
Isotype: Mouse IgG1
Applications: E, WB, IHC
Protein Family: Hormones
Pathway and Disease: Carbohydrate Metabolism, Endocrine System, Metabolic Disorders, Signaling Molecules and Interaction
Description:
Glucagon-like peptide 1 (7-36)amide (GLP-1 (7-36)amide) is the principal active form of GLP-1, the other being GLP-1 (7-37). GLP-1 is a peptide hormone of the glucagon family, produced by the L cells of the intestinal mucosa from the same prohormone as glucagon. The active forms are potent stimulators of glucose-dependent insulin secretion. The sequence of GLP-1 is fully conserved in all mammalian species examined so far. This antibody reacts with all forms of GLP-1, including precursor.
Alternate Names: Glucagon-like peptide 1, GLP-1, Glucagon, GCG
Application Notes: Product Cat. No. 250366 binds to GLP-1 coated directly onto the microtiter well, and binds GLP-1 (7-36)amide in solution giving a Ka of 4.0x10E8 in inhibition ELISA. Product Cat. No. 250366 cross-reacts with coated glucagon (<0.4%). No binding of free glucagon in solution is detected in inhibition ELISA, giving an estimated cross-reactivity <0.2%. Biotinylated Product Cat. No. 250366 is the preferred detection antibody for measuring C-terminally amidated forms of GLP-1 in combination with Product Cat. No. 250364 as capture antibody. E: 1:8,000; WB: 1:2,000
Accession No.: P01275
Antigen: Synthetic GLP-1(7-36)amide coupled to carrier and adsorbed onto aluminum hydroxide gel.
Format: Each vial contains 0.1 mg IgG in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of PBS pH7.4 with 0.09% sodium azide. Antibody was purified by Protein-A/G affinity chromatography.
Storage:
